Hi Jan. It's good to hear from you. Unfortunately all I have is an image of a wink coin from the Art in Odd Places website.
Please let us know about the October event...I hope to be there.

This is a really interesting blog/site. Thank you for including me in it!
I'm curious, where did you find a wink coin? What country? I'd love to know.
Also, there is going to be another Art in Odd Places show this October 2008
in New York City. I'll forward the details to you when available.
Thanks again, great site.

This is a lovely surprise to read :) I love Rosa Murillo's Found Art Tuesdays and hope to get back to it after the mad rush of June. Suffice it to say I am so glad you mentioned her blog here as well as Lisa Bachman's, and will check out your other links.

It is funny but I was actually planning to do an entry on the joys of finding art because I got a knock at my door and a child was standing there in wild excitement because she found one of my pieces. Several hours later I got another knock at the door and this 10 year old had made ME an art present. I can't tell you how happy she made ME. I have been getting feed back from the local community and it really is amazing how just a little act of kindness can make such a difference.

There is something else too about letting go, about creating work that is free of all else but to leave for others. Not sure how to describe it, but it is quite exhilarating and freeing.
